Taking time to breathe deeply, set intentions and re-align yourself is so important in today's lifestyle. We lose ourselves to the rush of maintaining our responsibilities and people pleasing. Creating calm in our lives is just as important as keeping up with weekly tasks, monthly goals and all the other pressures we put on ourselves.
Recharge your batteries
While a lot of us are time poor, we must remind ourselves to take time for the things we love. For some of us, family, friends, our pets, all require our attention, and we love to give it, but we should understand that boundaries are okay and sometimes we need to be "selfish" and take a step back and breathe. We're not saying to stop spending time with the people you love, but just know that you should never feel guilty for wanting to retreat and find peace and quiet. 'Everything worthwhile takes time' is a phrase that we've heard over and over and it is true for some things. Taking care and time for yourself is definitely a worthwhile form of self-love.
Reconnecting with yourself could also mean that you set aside 5-10 minutes of your day to set intentions for what you hope to achieve in any given time frame. Learning a new skill, picking up an old passion or improving on what you now have can all be proactively achieved by visualising, vocalising, and believing.
If you focus and clearly visualise where you would like to be by the end of a realistic time frame for your particular goal, you will have a better understanding of yourself and the situation. This will set you up to realise what needs to be done in order to get there in the end. Vocalising your dreams is said to help them ring true. By actually saying out loud what it is you'd hope to achieve makes it real in your mind, not just in your mind's eye. This will help you believe in yourself and find strength in yourself and your goal, ultimately wiping all doubt from clouding what you envision.
Making sure you are aligned with who you are and what you're searching for will set you on a path to achieving your goals and conquering what you have set out to do. By being true to what you believe, you are ultimately doing yourself the biggest favour. Taking the time and recognising this is the sole reason for alignment.
